Summer’s scarlet red shifts to Autumn’s yellow gold, Father Fire gives way to Great Brother Air, the strong Spirits of the South hand over to the wise Spirits of the West. Come join us in Ceremony as we mark the change in season from Summer to Autumn.
With each season Mother Earth changes her focus, her intentions, her purpose. Mother Earth is results oriented, proactive, purposeful. This is not talk and promises, not a rehearsal, your life is not a rehearsal, this is life, your life, now.
Autumn’s dynamic is “Quickly now, harvest the crops of your Summer, complete the work of your year. Hurry now, Celebrate the growth of your life, the growth of your Soul this year. Now dance, now sing, now share your bounty of Goodness. Hurry, hurry, Winter is coming, prepare for the coming sleep, for the coming deep purification, for Death’s coming in Winter.�
Earth’s special days, her Solstice and Equinox, are special for us too. These special days are our “quarterly reports�, an accounting of our efforts to date, of our lives, of our growing our Souls this year.
“Hey, what did you accomplish last Summer, what went well? That’s great! Let’s celebrate! What didn’t go well, and how can we help? What are your hopes and dreams, your plans, your projects, your responsibilities for the coming season? Hey, let’s help each other in this coming season, let’s make a covenant to love each other, to help each other in this coming Winter season.�
DATE and TIME: Sunday, September 23, 2007 at 2:00 pm Sharp! RSVP BRING: folding chairs, cushions, wood for the Fire, Ceremony stuff, drinking fluids, and a nice dish for the Potluck following the Ceremony. Clique sticks will be provided so that “everyone will have a drum�. No alcohol, drugs, very small children, or pets. Come early, help set up. Donations are encouraged.
LOCATION: At The Hayos Homestead, Factoryville, PA. Go North from Clarks Summit on Rt 6 W and Rt 11N. Immediately after the left hand turn into Keystone College, turn left at the traffic light. At the bottom of the ramp, go right onto “College Avenue�. Continue straight through Factoryville. After going under the overpass, go one mile and turn right into the driveway after the mail box with the yellow ribbons, #522.
