The Countryside Conservancy, a nonprofit land and water conservation organization, invites artists to donate original work to its Tenth Annual Auction. This year’s Auction will take place on Saturday, July 11, on the lawn of the Allied Services corporate offices in the Abington Executive Park, Clarks Summit.
The Conservancy has protected almost 1,200 acres in and around the Tunkhannock Creek Watershed, in Lackawanna, Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties. Over 300 acres of these lands are open to the public for recreation and education.
The Auction is the Conservancy’s main fundraising event. Over 200 guests gather to wine, dine and bid on silent and live auction items. The Auction is noted for highlighting original work of area artists, and is a great opportunity for artists to become better known among local patrons of the arts. Donations are highlighted on the Conservancy’s Auction webpage in the months leading up to the event, and the Conservancy links from its website to the websites of donor artists (visit www.countrysideconservancy.org/links.htm and scroll down to “Contributing Artists”).
If you’d like to donate a piece, please contact Executive Director Mary Felley at 945-6995, or cconserv@epix.net., or contact Tom Noone or Gretchen Ludders
